Foundations at The Coterie:: An Immersive Weekend
Join Chloe S. and Caiti S. a weekend immersion designed to give you a strong, confident foundation in both the philosophy and practice of yoga. This immersion is truly for anyone. If you have been practicing yoga for days or for years, this is an opportunity to re-root yourself into a ritual that feels like yours now more than ever.
Rooted in the wisdom of the ancient texts, such as the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, this weekend explores the foundational philosophical tenets of yoga in a way that feels accessible, practical, and relevant to modern life. Together, we’ll unpack core concepts such as the Eight Limbs of Yoga, mindfulness, self-study, and compassionate discipline—discovering how these timeless teachings can support balance on and off the mat.
In our movement sessions, we’ll focus on basic alignment principles for foundational postures, helping you understand not just what to do, but why you’re doing it. You’ll learn how to build poses from the ground up with stability, clarity, and breath awareness. Special attention will be given to adapting and customizing postures to honor individual bodies, abilities, and lived experiences. Whether you’re working with tight shoulders, sensitive knees, limited flexibility, or simply new to yoga, you’ll gain practical tools to make the practice truly your own.
This immersive weekend is perfect for true beginners, those returning after time away, or anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of yoga beyond a drop-in class. Expect thoughtful discussion, supportive instruction, hands-on guidance, and a welcoming community atmosphere. Come ready to learn, explore, and reconnect—with your body, your breath, and the deeper intention behind the practice.
Intelligent Design: Advanced Vinyasa Sequencing with Adam Whiting
Balancing Artistry and Education in Vinyasa Yoga:
The modern Vinyasa yoga landscape is an ever-evolving space. As teachers, we are tasked with the profound responsibility of honoring the spiritual traditions of yoga while simultaneously educating our students on anatomy, biomechanics, and sustainable human movement. We are challenged to deliver all of this in a beautifully choreographed, engaging, and dynamic package.
Intelligent Design is a comprehensive immersion into the architecture of a powerful yoga class. In this 34-hour training, we will investigate the myriad pathways of sequencing to help you tell a clear, powerful story through movement. You will learn how to design practices that educate as much as they entertain. We will explore how to evolve the Vinyasa practice into one that seamlessly integrates modern movement innovations and anatomical understanding with traditional yoga postures and engaging theming.
Myofascial Release x Prana with Raudhah & Macarena
Join Raudhah and Macarena for a 2-hour class beginning with Myofascial Release (MFR), followed by a Prana practice. The MFR portion will focus primarily on the upper body - shoulders, chest, neck, arms, and upper back areas that often hold tension from daily movement, stress, and holding patterns.
You can expect sustained, gentle pressure (similar to a massage). Instead of stretching or pushing, we’ll stay longer and let sensation change on its own time. This extended practice supports practitioners of all experience levels, working with both the physical body and the nervous system. It’s especially helpful for people who feel tight, fatigued, overstimulated, or simply curious about slowing down and listening more closely.
